UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT AIDE

Academic Background

2023-present: B.S. in Agricultural Biology (Entomology Concentration), Minor in Horticulture, NMSU

I am the President of the NMSU Entomology Club, Vice President of the Sigma Alpha Agricultural Sorority, and Historian of the Horticulture Forum. I’ve worked in many labs, including the Weeds Lab, Agricultural Entomology Lab, and NMDA’s Entomology Lab. I have contributed to many graduate students’ projects in these positions, so I’m very excited to continue building experience in the urban realm as an undergrad until I can take on my own projects.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT AIDE

Academic Background

2025-present: B.S. in Agricultural Biology (Entomology Concentration), NMSU

I have had a deep curiosity for our natural world from a young age, competing in 4-H and FFA throughout my school career. I have a long history with entomology, starting at 8 years old in 4-H, continuing to state and national competitions in FFA, and now my degree.

FRESHMAN UNDERGRADUATE STEM FELLOWS PROGRAM MENTEE

Academic Background

2025-present: B.S. in Agricultural Biology (Entomology Concentration), NMSU

Deciding my degree at one point for me was the hardest thing I could do, I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to go into. Then I had just finished competing in the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Entomology Contest, this was the last contest I would ever do and I was really upset about it because entomology was my favorite thing to do. That’s when it hit me I could do entomology as a job and it has been my burning passion since. I plan to continue finishing out my degree at NMSU and I am currently working in the Hubbard Lab to expand my interactive knowledge about entomology and my experience with it. For fun when I’m not studying or working I like to do outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. I also love to play guitar and crochet, a hobby I picked up from my grandma.
